Dr. Shaheda Mahomed is a seasoned legal and academic professional with over 23 years of experience in law, mediation, and higher education. 

She holds a distinguished academic portfolio, including a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Master of Laws (LLM), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education, and an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.  As an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa, her legal expertise spans labor law, clinical legal education, dispute resolution, and academic leadership.

Dr. Shaheda Mahomed began her career at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she developed and led the Labour Law Clinic and later served as Director of the Law Clinic and postgraduate programs. Her work has included litigation, mediation, policy development, and extensive teaching and supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

She has held senior academic leadership roles, including Dean of Faculties and Executive Head of Academics at Pearson Institute (now Eduvos), where she led strategic innovation in curriculum design, blended learning, and student success initiatives.

A published author, editor, and international speaker, Dr. Shaheda Mahomed brings a wealth of knowledge, empathy, and strategic insight to her mediation practice—helping individuals and families navigate complex transitions with clarity and care.
